One of my simple pleasures as a yoga teacher comes at the end of class, when we are settling into our relaxation pose. At Imagine Center, we make a practice of covering any chilly yogis with blankets, helping them snuggle into savasana. Warm blankets are one of the joys of winter yoga.

I’m always charmed by yogis, new to Imagine, who are surprised with this small act of comfort. And our returning yogis, with the touch of that warm fleece, release gently into bliss.

All those hours and days and weeks of training, and it’s the warm blanket that helps our yogis reach that space of safety for quieting their mind.

I bet Linus would have loved yoga.

When was the last time someone tucked you in?
